The first trades on the EA hit Stop Loss on M15. I think H1 is better but you won't get the signal on the indicator until much later on H1. I tried it off that day & put it back on 2 days later with same result on 4 different pairs. I ran EA on 24 x5 setting and may get better results with trading in smaller window to ensure volume of trades. I wrote asking a few questions to Oliver & waiting on a reply since the EA can't be back tested in MT4 strategy tester. I should have done it on a demo . I need to test it more.. Read so many positive testimonials. Indicator is not bad.. The TP1 is smaller than SL & their recommendation is to set it to TP2 generally (TP3 only on strong trend.) They don't advice closing on opposite signal on the EA. Just looking at it, not all of the indicator suggested trades are positive. Advice everyone to have secondary confirmation before taking trades manually. Maybe, you could use Trend Line Pro or something similar as secondary confirmation.

 

It is pretty much the same with Apollo Scalper.

I am not a Forex Reviewer but a fellow trader. I hope you find this post useful even if it is long.

Yes - I had contacted Oliver Murphy, the Developer and asked him which was better - His Apollo EA or the Forex Xcelerator EA . He said the Forex Xcelerator being their latest, is a better buy. If this group has to pay $ 179 for indicator or $ 298 for full life time package (they have the full pkg on 3 month subscription for less but you get billed quarterly). The difference is $ 120 for a functional EA. The nice thing about an EA is it can run for 24 x 5 each week and can be attached to the pairs recommended (The Developer recommends that initially you can attach pick from 7 recommended pairs they tested on and had good results. I was told by the Developer that H4 is set and forget setting, but you need to have bigger acct since you have to have bigger Stop Losses on H4 as compared to M15 ). For Scalpers, this indicator does not work anything less than M15, the indicator does not show on charts (especially those that trade US30 or NAS100 index CFDs or metals such as Gold, Silver who may be inclined to use M5 or M1 charts for quick scalps as they could be very volatile and prices could potentially spike in either direction rapidly).

When you consider that you cannot automate the indicator to make your own EA using Universal EA for your favorite indicator (or FRZ Indicator Automator) , and that with an indicator you can only watch one or two charts but with an EA you can take a portfolio approach with the EA on 4 or 5 charts. H1 and H4 take only a few trades each week.

I would encourage every one interested to consider the full pkg for $ 120 more. For a group this size (unlocked version can be used on different accts, whereas original limits it to 1 Demo and 1 Real Money acct), it is for a few dollars over what you would pay for indicator alone. Please remember, that this is only version 1.0. The EAs evolve and get finely tuned just as with wine properly aged which will be better than new wine. You get all updates with the full lifetime pkg if the Admin can get the full lifetime pkg (issue in getting the quarterly subscription at $ 159 paid every 3 months will be costly since one yr will cost $ 636 & the developer changes pwd frequently locking one out if you are not a subscriber).

The main two reasons some developers want to limit the EA from getting into too many hands is - (1) to raise the price after development costs are met
I will share something (not a secret) but most people trying to get Prop funding may not know the following:
(2) Rules of Prop firms such as FTMO and others. They may ban a very successful EA used by many (Imagine 10 or 20K traders placing the exact same trade on same pair in same direction and the firm's capital runs out since they don't really take all trades placed by traders who are on a demo even after being funded. The authorities will investigate and ban a firm where 10K or 20K trades place same time, same pair, same entry direction and price trades (as it is considered market manipulation).


Exit Options are TP1 (smaller than Stop Loss which makes your Reward to Risk less than 1 - means over several hundred trades, chances are you would lose money), TP2, TP3 and Exit on Opposite Signal. Auto Mode will make the process of taking and exiting trades automatically.

Prop firms place orders of only the top 5% traders since the only have to pay only to about 3 to 5% of traders - other retail traders fail even after landing a Funded acct due to spreads that widen or slippages when a trade cannot be closed at your Stop Loss due to spikes or the order cannot be filled at the size you want at that price. Now a days huge slippages are getting more common. The Broker has offers for only a micro lot at the Stop Loss price and you want get out of a position of 1 to 5 lots, the slippages blow your account.)

The prop funding firms reserve the right not to pay the trader if the trader takes exactly the same entry and same exit at the same time & price (They have an Audit program running the background that checks the time, entry and exit of traders). There was a video posted by a prop firm trader (goes by name of Forex Flamingo) who made $ 89K in one month (phenomenal results for anyone even if she had a large acct) but three of her trades were placed at the same time and exit was the same at around the same time on Gold (XAUUSD). She was denied her payment saying she used either an EA or indulged in group trading copying another trader. She did appeal - and was given a much smaller amount with the agreement that she take down all the negative posts or videos on social media.

Since I had a few days to look at the EA - the EA has very few settings. The danger of placing the same trades as other traders on the 7 recommended pairs is higher which may affect the trader being paid by Prop firms. If you have a large enough acct with your own personal money, you don't have the issue.

I have found that some developers are developing the original version of an EA, and leave some bugs (may not be intentional always) and only those that paid the original developer gets the updates (where further updates take place to resolve issues raised by earlier users).

If you want the EA, you should request the Admin immediately so that the currently pooled money is not spent on just the indicator when you can get the EA full pkg (which includes the indicator).
