There was some bad US news from Powell. The $ got smashed. I had a couple of limit orders that got triggered during this event. The weird part is I actually looked out for the news and nothing happened when they were announced. I see that at 21.30 Powell's take on the economy came out which did not appear on Forex Factory's calendar so that is an important lesson to learn. Have an awesome vacation!

Then how do some people make lots of money on the market for years? Magic?

 

Well, 99% of traders lose capital within 5 years. Even the best of them go bankrupt up to several times. I know maybe 2-3 (not personally) who make a living from it and have lost a lot of money. Today, in the age of marketing and advertising, i.e. robots, strategies, trading teachers ... Everyone with a phone is a trader. The broker and the trainers recommending it earn the best. It is a very painful school of life.

 

How do those 2 - 3 people make a living from it if it's not possible? And how do those in the 1% manage not to lose their capital? If somebody can, that means it's possible, doesn't it?

 

They borrowed money and started making money again and again. 1% is "elite". They got hit in the ass many times, they withstood it mentally, they understood the rules - they changed - they hardened.

 

I just noticed that the kiss of candles look like those in sierra chart. It shows the order volume inside the candle. Thanks for the nobs templates. I haven't seen them before.
